Faithdean Plc won this contract in a competitive tender which enabled us to participate in the redevelopment of the Apollo Plaza; a 1920 listed landmark building.

The site benefits from a contemporary and sophisticated interior design through the use of the finest materials and finishes .

Upon entering the building you are greeted by a full height upholstered leather panelled wall with seven internal LCD screens within the foyer area, together with the box office counter consisting of glass, granite and a back illuminated colour lighting scheme. The striking feature of the entrance foyer is the fabulous internally illuminated glass and polished stainless steel staircase which transcends each level down to the basement.

Part of the brief for the toilets was to achieve a standard of design and comfort commensurate with other top London entertainment facility. Bespoke hand washing troughs several metres long, complete with glass effect crystals were installed together with contemporary timber wall paneling that covers the majority of walls, including full height cubicle doors and large scale bespoke mirrors incorporating LCD screens which continually show movie previews.

Included within the cinema concourse and main foyer area is a bar and concession area. These counters are again, similar in design to the box office counter, with the whole area benefiting from a constantly changing LED illumination system.

The lounge concourse incorporates contemporary and bespoke banquette leather wall seating that is enhanced by means of hidden up-lights.

Each auditorium has a unique floating cinema screen, surrounded by multi-colour changing halo illumination.

The cinemas are fully air conditioned.
