Faithdean Plc was successful in securing this prestigious refurbishment of thirty six luxury serviced apartments for Cheval Residences in a competitive tender based upon a JCT 2005 Standard Building Contract with Quantities.

The contract included a sectional completion particular that facilitated the continued occupation of one block of apartments while the other was being refurbished. This entailed careful logistical planning and sequence management of services.

The project comprised of the internal strip out of all apartments and circulation areas. The installation of a complete new four pipe fan coil unit system, including new rooftop plant and plant room, complete with a bi-folding acoustic screen and enclosure to meet the strict planning constraints.

New boosted hot and cold water services were provided throughout, including a new tank room on level one that served both interlinking blocks, plus an upgraded gas supply serving both blocks. New electrical services comprising upgraded incoming mains were installed, along with new lighting, small power, and voice and data infrastructure throughout all apartments and circulation areas.

The WC’s, kitchens and bathrooms were completely refitted and redesigned to provide a modern yet traditional ambience to reflect the Cheval corporate image, along with the complete refurbishment of all bedrooms, including secondary glazing, new ceilings, walls as required, joinery including wardrobe doors, decorations comprising painting and extensive new wall coverings throughout, and new Brinton’s carpets. This was all to a standard and finish that provided Cheval with a 5 star rating.
