Faithdean Plc completed on time and within budget this negotiated project at DST House. The contract was to undertake demolition of the existing mansard roof and to provide a two storey extension on top of an existing 3-storey building, with the Client’s workforce in full occupation on floors 1 to 3 for the duration of the project.

The main constraint for the project was to keep the building in the dry for the duration of the works, which meant constructing a temporary 1300 m2 scaffold roof over the entire building and thereafter managing the special requirements for a crane for the hoisting of materials.

The building is also immediately adjacent to a main line railway track and therefore areas of the scaffold could not progress without permission from Network Rail.
